Pensamientos y procesos (2016)

Thoughts and processes (2016)

There is no definitive work, it is all part of a continuing process.  These thoughts come to me at a time when I realize that I am incorporating new strategies in my formal approach which directly affect the way objects relate.  This fundamental aspect that I have given much thought to directly affects on the results of my work, at a time in which I incorporate long forgotten sentiment and in which geometry acquires new, perhaps never lost, protagonism.
The difference between the final scale of the object and the studio, work in progress scale, is an aspect that I have been dwelling upon.  I have pondered upon the role of the incipient drawings in the process of creating three dimensional objects, drawings that contemplate the object from all vantage points and that contemplate its texture and tactile qualities.  There is a factor that has to do with the vibration and sentiment through which I connect with the object, a sudden flash that doesn´t always occur in the final phases of creating sculpture, a mistery of the senses that links me to an ideal whole.  I could define it as the poetry of form or the conscience of the object.  It is no wonder than, that I realize that when I relate my work with the energy aspect, I am influenced by my personal situation and with all that surrounds me day to day, my relationship with the world and with the others.  It is, after all, a mental path drawn upon planned parameters and a series of steps that take me towards a concrete result, a process in which randomness is not foreign and in which I allow casual occurences bring me closer to magic.
